With baseball playoffs in full swing, football seasons (both professional and college) hitting their stride and professional hoops about ready to go, this has to be one of the most exciting times of the year for sports fans.
After a summer break, all the players are back to their respective teams and starting their preseason tours before the official kickoff to the NBA season. That means there are lots of guys out there, playing for their spot on the team whether it be as a starter or trying to fill that last spot on the roster, the competition is heating up.
With a lot of free agent activity over the summer, several teams are looking to make a push to unseat the defending world champion Heat in their quest for a three-peat.
In the east, the Brooklyn Nets made the biggest surge with the acquisition of some major players to help add some championship experience. The Chicago Bulls welcome back their MVP in hopes of making a push at the crown as well. Others vying for a strong playoff run include the Pacers, Hawks and Knicks.
In the west, a whole list of suitors including the OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, LA Clippers, Mavericks, Grizzlies and Spurs all look to challenge for this year’s chance to play for the ultimate prize.
While you might have an already full slate of sports to watch, you should try to check out a few preseason games and get a feel for who’s going to be doing what this year in the league.
